The Weald Courier independent poll (started 24th August 2008) to ascertain public opinion at www.thisiskent.co.uk/weald has recorded 202 votes to date with 96% saying that they want a Community Centre to be located on the Cranbrook Council Offices Site.

Suffice to say that we have been buoyed by the continued and even increased support since this meeting and will focus our efforts to ensure the Community gets what it wants and truly deserves.

How did our 3 Borough Councillors perform at this critical meeting in representing our community and their voters?
Sean Holden represented Cranbrook with passion and eloquence. He demanded that the Cabinet use the valuable asset of the local voluntary group and listen to the massive majority. He was shouted down by Roy Bullock when he showed how deeply he cares for this issue.
Peter Davies spoke, but did not seem enthusiastic about the WC Project.
Dr Linda Hall, did not turn up.
